Zhejiang's trade with other SCO members hits record high in Jan-July

Trade between East China's Zhejiang province and the nine other Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states totaled 292.03 billion yuan ($43.45 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, up 9.8 percent year-on-year, according to Hangzhou Customs.

Exports rose 7.7 percent to 237.78 billion yuan, while imports increased 20.2 percent to 54.25 billion yuan. Total trade, exports, and imports all reached record highs for the same period.

Mechanical and electrical products were Zhejiang's largest export category to the other SCO members, rising 7 percent to 125.3 billion yuan and accounting for 52.7 percent of total exports.

Automobile exports surged 73.7 percent to 12.2 billion yuan, making automobiles the largest single contributor to export growth.

Import growth was driven mainly by energy and resource products, with copper products a major growth driver.
