Ningbo recorded 47.85 billion yuan ($7.17 billion) in imports and exports with Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries in the first three quarters of 2026, up 5.3 percent year-on-year, according to Ningbo Customs.
As the Double 11 shopping festival approaches, more CEE products are finding their way into the Chinese market through cross-border e-commerce. Popular imports include dietary supplements, whey protein powder, skincare products, and household goods.
Around 120 categories of CEE products were sold on major e-commerce platforms in the first three quarters, an increase of more than 20 compared to a year earlier. The number of cross-border e-commerce import declarations from the region also rose 17.2 percent.
Meanwhile, Ningbo's exports to CEE markets continued to grow. From January to September, Ningbo Tucai Flexible Pipe exported 12 million yuan worth of braided hoses, valves, and metal fittings to Bulgaria.
To support trade growth, Ningbo Customs has streamlined clearance procedures, improved efficiency, and strengthened cooperation with CEE partners, helping businesses explore opportunities in both markets.
