Ningbo takes largest share in famous Zhejiang export brand list

Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province witnessed 62 of its export brands being listed in the 2018 Famous Zhejiang Export Brand list, ranking first in the whole province, local media recently reported. 

The city now has 166 export brands honored as famous Zhejiang export brands, also ranking first in the province. 

The Ningbo brands listed this time include 35 on mechanical electronics, 10 on light industrial crafts, and four on textiles, among others on chemical engineering, medical insurance, architecture and metallurgy.

Ningbo has seen a boom in these industries in recent years, with 10 foreign trade bases established last year on textiles, home appliances, stationery, kitchen ware and hardware.

In addition, most of the brands listed are private companies, suggesting a vibrant private economy in Ningbo, industry experts said. 

The city will next strengthen policy support for local brands, drive the establishment of foreign trade bases and enhance promotion of local companies.
