A delegation of 28 artists from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, showcased their distinctive local folk culture at a high school in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, on May 17. 

They performed folk songs, dances and operas, and played traditional Chinese musical instruments at the school, receiving warm applause from the students. 

Some of the intangible cultural heritages and local handicrafts from Ningbo were also displayed.

The delegation was invited by the local authorities of Suncheon to the city's 2019 Chinese cultural week to promote Ningbo culture, and will also go to Seoul for a tourism promotional activity there. 

Suncheon is a sister city of Ningbo, and the two have conducted many exchanges in education and culture in recent years.
