A delegation headed by government leaders from Ganzhou, Jiangxi province visited Ningbo, Zhejiang province on Aug 18. Two agreements were signed to strengthen cooperation between the two cities.

According to the agreements, the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Science will collaborate with Jiangxi University of Science and Technology in promoting scientific research and talent cultivation.

Zheng Shanjie, deputy secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, urged the two cities to further cooperate in the automobile industry, new materials manufacturing and tourism. Ports in both Ningbo and Ganzhou should develop together and share the benefits of opening-up, he added.

Meanwhile, Li Bingjun, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Ganzhou Municipal Committee, praised the close relationship between Ningbo and Ganzhou and expects to further cooperate with Ningbo in talent exchange and cultural tourism.
