Ningbo to host 2019 World Digital Economy Conference

The 2019 World Digital Economy Conference & Ninth China Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo are scheduled to open in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 6.

The three-day event will include a main forum, 14 sub-forums and an expert consultation session, and will focus on a range of topics including industrial software, smart city construction, industrial internet, and 5G.

Attendees will include world-class experts and scholars as well as business leaders from tech giants such as Huawei, China Electronics Group, Inspur and Nokia. It will feature more than 400 companies from across the world, who will display their latest technologies.

Covering an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, the China Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo will be divided into five sections, focusing on digital economy, smart manufacturing, intelligent applications, new generation electronic technologies and smart products, respectively.

The expo has been held in Ningbo every year since its inception in 2011 and has since become a significant platform promoting cooperation and exchange in smart city construction and intelligent economy in China.

The 2019 World Digital Economy Conference shall be held in Ningbo for the first time this year.

The conference has invited experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from countries such as the United States, Germany, Canada, Finland, Norway, and India to give speeches.

More than 70 overseas enterprises from more than 10 countries including Germany and France have confirmed their attendance.

The conference will also witness the signing of a series of projects focusing on high-end equipment, intelligent manufacturing, and artificial intelligence, among other things.
