Ningbo's cultural industry continues to prosper
The added value of the cultural industry above designated size in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, increased 7.8 percent year-on-year to 25.8 billion yuan ($3.99 billion) in the first three quarters of 2020, local media reported.
Last year, the city was home to nine cultural companies listed on the main board, 10 new provincial cultural companies, eight new provincial cultural industrial parks and nine new provincial cultural and creative blocks.
More than 250 teams of television crew filmed productions in Ningbo, 187 of which shot their works at Xiangshan Studios, a year-on-year increase of 37 percent.
Moreover, the city secured 17 cultural and tourism projects worth 18 billion yuan at the 2020 Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, which was held in Ningbo from Sept 25 to 27.
