Authorities call for sustained epidemic prevention efforts during holiday period

The Ningbo Municipal Center for Disease Control recently advised citizens who have scheduled wedding banquets during the Spring Festival holiday to postpone the celebrations to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

The center also called for funerals to be scaled down.

Banquets with more than 50 people must be reported to local epidemic prevention and control authorities in advance.

Family gatherings of more than 10 people are also not recommended, according to the center.

People returning to Ningbo from overseas have to undergo a two-week quarantine, a one-week home health observation and a one-week home health monitoring.

Those returning from domestic medium- and high-risk areas must undergo a two-week quarantine and a one-week home health observation.

In addition, those traveling to Ningbo from cites with sporadic cases must test negative for Covid-19 within 48 hours prior to returning, as well as undergo two weeks of home health monitoring after arrival.
