Chinese shares see sharp drop on Tuesday

Chinese stocks plummeted on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 4.95 percent, closing at 3,063.97 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index decreased 4.36 percent, dropping to 11,537.24 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, fell 2.55 percent on Tuesday, at 2,504.78 points.
