Maoxin village in Ningbo has been developing tourism industry by integrating agriculture with space-related attractions in recent years.

Maoxin village in Gulin town is famous for its rice plants and mat rush products, and was listed among the first group of future village construction projects in Zhejiang province.

In 2020, a full-sized model of a space station and a 20-meter-tall aircraft model were built in a field in the village, attracting many visitors, especially families with children.

"We also built the first agriculture center featuring space farming in East China," said Lin Yinie, Party secretary of Maoxin village, "we've bred many space vegetables and fruit, such as pumpkin, pepper, banana and mushroom."

Lin added that the village also launched 17 space experience projects, in which visitors can enjoy work done by astronauts and taste produce grown in space.

The construction of a space experience and agriculture tourism base in the village covering more than 20 hectares has also been completed.
