On Aug 15, a high-speed train ran through rice paddies featuring unique patterns in Yuyao, a county-level city in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, demonstrating the harmonious relationship between modernization and tradition.

The rice paddies in Sanqishi town cover an area of nearly 20 hectares and have been designed to display local industries and culture, such as Neolithic culture, waxberries, buildings and boats.

Yuyao, located on the south bank of the Yangtze River Delta, is home to two Neolithic sites - Hemudu site and Jingtoushan site. The Hemudu site reveals the life of a tribe that was active 7,000 years ago, while the Jingtoushan site provides important research materials on how human beings adapted to offshore coastal living and maritime production 8,000 years ago.

Sanqishi town has a long history of planting waxberries, and the fruit has promoted rural vitalization and common prosperity in the town.
