A charter flight carrying 75 businesspeople from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province arrived in Budapest, Hungary on Aug 30.

This was the second round-trip business flight from Ningbo since the start of the pandemic.

The first of such flights was launched on July 10. Thirty-six passengers, all of whom were from foreign-trade companies in Ningbo, traveled to Budapest for a 12-day European business tour on that occasion.

Lin Qian, a manager at a furniture foundry in Ningbo and who was on this latest flight, said she would visit nearly 20 customers in countries including Germany and France in hopes of bringing back new orders.

Zhang Tao, president of Ningbo Skyzon Energy Co Ltd, said that he would participate in the 2022 Frankfurt Lighting Fair, which will be held from Oct 2 to 6. This would be the first time in three years the company is attending an overseas fair.

As the pandemic has hampered the development of foreign-trade companies, Ningbo authorities have taken measures to help small, medium, and micro foreign trade enterprises by implementing measures such as launching chartered business flights, facilitating the entry and exit of foreign-related business personnel and introducing policies to promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
