1,300-plus Ningbo enterprises attend Canton Fair

A total of 1,388 enterprises from Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province are attending the 132nd China Import and Export Fair, which opened online in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province on Oct 15.

The fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is the country's largest-scale trade event. More than 35,000 domestic and overseas companies are attending the fair this year.

The participating companies from Ningbo occupy 1,796 booths and are showcasing more than 213,000 commodities.

Starting this year, the fair's online platform service will be extended from 10 days to five months, allowing exhibitors more time to secure deals, according to Xu Bing, a spokesperson of the fair.

Zhu Qiucheng, general manager of Ningbo Xindongfang Industry and Trade Co Ltd, pointed out that the fair, which is expected to be held both online and offline in years to come, will become a new channel for brand image promotion in addition to being a trade event.
