Ningbo launched a tourism event to offer two-day free trips for 400 volunteers, social workers and medical workers on Dec 12. 

The event, entitled "Love Tourism Bus", was launched by the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism. The 400 people are from all walks of life and have joined the anti-pandemic and disaster relief efforts. 

Over the course of two days, they visited old and new tourism spots around the city. 

Zhou, a newcomer to the city, said he is impressed by the city’s warmth. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreaks, he became a volunteer in his local community. 

During his trip in Shiqifang Scenic Spot in Zhenhai district, he discovered a new side of the city. 

"I'd always thought of Ningbo as a fashionable and vibrant city," said Zhou, "But I was amazed by the large scale of the ancient buildings when travelling in Shiqifang. Ningbo is also rich in history and culture. I plan to learn more about the city by visiting more places."

The "Love Tourism Bus" is one of the major activities of the Ningbo Tourism Festival and has been held for 14 years. More than 4,500 people have attended the event.
