Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province recently unveiled an action plan to help companies secure more overseas orders.

According to the plan, the city plans to send more than 10,000 representatives from over 1,000 local foreign trade companies overseas by chartered planes from November 2022 to April 2023.

The business trips are expected to secure $10 billion worth of orders and help the city establish an additional 200,000 square meters of overseas warehouses.

The plan also stressed that the trips will contribute to the growth of foreign investment in the city. Through the trips, a number of liaison offices will be set up in Hamburg, London, Tokyo, San Francisco and other global cities that have rich industrial resources and vibrant innovation environments.

In addition, events such as the "Ningbo Week in Europe" will be staged during the trips to promote local investment environment and industrial policies, according to the plan.

As the pandemic has hampered the development of foreign-trade companies, Ningbo authorities have taken measures to help small, medium, and micro foreign trade enterprises by implementing measures such as launching chartered business flights, facilitating the entry and exit of foreign-related business personnel and introducing policies to promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
