Ningbo's Yinzhou district was recently ranked 11th on the 2022 list of top 100 county-level areas in terms of social governance in China.

Binjiang district in Hangzhou topped the list, which was released by the Institute of Social Governance, Zhejiang University on Dec 25, followed by Guangming district in Shenzhen, and Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua.

Eighty-three of the 100 listed county-level areas are located in eastern China, while the rest are from in the central and western parts.

Zhejiang, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces took the top three spots in terms of the number of listed places - 32, 20 and 17 respectively.

Zhejiang has in recent years posted outstanding performances in improving social governance by leveraging digital technologies.

Applications designed for fields including public security, lawsuits and resolution of social disputes have been launched in the province.
