The Ningbo Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Center was launched on Jan 10.

Considered an important digital infrastructure in Ningbo, a city in East China's Zhejiang province, during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, the center will inject new vitality to the city's digital economy.

The launch ceremony also witnessed the facility's developer – Zhejiang Ningshu Scientific Innovation Group - ink cooperation agreements with the first group of users such as Ningbo University.

Tang Feifan, mayor of Ningbo, addressed the ceremony, pointing out that computing is increasingly driving the city's soft power and becoming a new arena for city competitiveness.

He added that the supercomputing center's inauguration has filled the gap of supercomputing infrastructure in Ningbo, which is of great significance to the city's upgrading.
