Ningbo Zhoushan Port handled 1.05 million TEUs in the first 10 days of January, up 10.75 percent year-on-year, official statistics show.

The daily container throughput volume of Chuanshan Port, which is affiliated to Ningbo Zhoushan Port, reached 33,000 TEUs at the beginning of 2023.

Meishan Port, which is also part of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, saw its container throughput volume surpass 289,000 TEUs during the same period. More than half of the port's bridge and gantry cranes can be remotely controlled.

Over at Beilun port, another integral part of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, over 10 freight trains loaded with more than 2,600 containers made trips on a daily basis during the 10-day period.

A staff member at the Ningbo Zhoushan Port said that the port will sustain efforts in expanding its logistics network and ensure the smooth operations of the logistics supply chain this year.

Ningbo Zhoushan Port has for many years been playing a key role in bolstering the "dual-circulation" development pattern and promoting the nation's opening-up.
