Running event held across the country

A running event including both online and onsite running activities, was held in nearly 100 cities across China on Feb 12.

The event was launched in Fenghua district in Ningbo, Zhejiang province in 2019 to strengthen connections between runners from Ningbo and Taiwan and is held on Feb 12 every year. During the event, runners explore their cities through a 9.9-kilometer route. This year, the event was extended to more cities cross the country.

At 9 am on Feb 12, representatives of runners in 16 cities - Ningbo, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Ningde, Jinjiang, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Nantou, Taipei, Gaoxiong, Zhanghua, Taizhong, and Tainan of Southeast China's Taiwan – started running at the same time.

An online running activity was also launched, with more than 10,000 runners from nearly 100 cities participating.
