The Tide News app features a content "ecosystem" that combines original content with professionally generated content, user-generated content, and occupationally generated content. The combination of video, text and pictures will provide a well-rounded and engaging user experience.
Zhang Zhi'an, a professor from the School of Journalism at Fudan University, said that the launch of the Tide News platform marks a new phase in the development of the country’s mainstream media platforms, and signals the arrival of a new era. With stronger resource integration capabilities, the platform is now poised to expand its reach and influence even further, added Zhang.
The app has also introduced a partnership and support program to further enhance its offerings. The partnership program was signed in collaboration with leading e-commerce companies such as Alibaba, Huawei, Baidu and Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok), while the support program is designed to assist influencers, celebrities and scholars in generating high-quality content.
