Ningbo company promotes China-Benin cooperation
Zhejiang Teams International, a company in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, is seeking more opportunities to promote trade cooperation between China and Benin during the ongoing 13th Benin (West Africa) Chinese Products Fair in Cotonou in Benin.
After a four-year pause, the Chinese Products Fair kicked off at the Benin China Economic and Trade Development Center (or Benin Center) on Aug 21 and is slated to run until Aug 24. More than 40 Chinese exhibitors are showcasing their products at the fair, 37 of which are from Ningbo.
Wang Weigang, Chairman of Zhejiang Teams International, is attending the fair as the head of the Ningbo exhibitor delegation. Wang said that the delegation will visit industrial parks, economic zones, and markets to seek investment opportunities in Benin.
Wang is also a director of the Benin Center, which is a cooperation project between the governments of China and Benin. Wang's company funded it. Since 2008, the Chinese Products Fair hosted by the center has attracted nearly 700 Chinese companies to Benin and about 20,000 buyers from countries in West Africa.
"I've always wanted to come to Benin and now I've finally got the chance. It is well worth a visit," said Wang Guohui, director of a cosmetics company in Ningbo.
