Ningbo ranks 2nd in China in public service quality

Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province was recently ranked second in China in public service quality in 2022, according to an announcement by the State Administration for Market Regulation.

This represents a jump of six places from the previous year and is the city's highest ranking ever in this aspect.

The administration conducted a comprehensive evaluation, looking at 12 indicators, including public education, public employment, medical services, social security, public transportation, public security, and the ecological environment. A total of 120 cities from 31 provincial areas were included in the assessment.

The top 10 cities on the list were Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing, Nanjing, Beijing, Shenzhen, Changzhou, Chongqing, Hefei, and Taizhou.

Ningbo stood out with a score of 83.98 points, surpassing the threshold of 80 points required to be classified as "excellent" in the report. This is the fifth consecutive year the city has scored above 80 points and the third consecutive year it has been rated as "excellent" in all 12 indicators.

In addition, Ningbo has ranked among the top 10 cities in the country in terms of public transportation, social security, public sports, administrative services, public education, medical services, and public utilities. The city's public transportation system secured the fourth position, higher than in any other category.
