The Nantanghe historical and cultural block, located in Ningbo's Haishu district, has recently been recognized as a national-level tourism and leisure destination by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The block captures the charm of a Jiangnan water town. It has garnered nearly 20 esteemed titles, including being designated as a national-level night culture and tourism consumption cluster area, a Zhejiang provincial tourism and leisure block, and a provincial high-quality pedestrian street.
Taking a stroll down the street is like stepping back in time to the bustling marketplaces of the late Ming (1368-1644) and early Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The block boasts five main sectors showcasing various themes, encompassing traditional folk customs, cultural life, cultural and tourism experiences, nightlife, and business and travel support. It proudly accommodates 141 diverse shops.
In 2022, the neighborhood celebrated a significant milestone by attracting over 110,000 visitors in a single night, a record high.
