Haishu district in Ningbo, Zhejiang province has been promoting the integrated development of the express delivery and manufacturing industries.

In recent years, Haishu has encouraged express delivery companies to set up stations in factories, especially garment factories.

The warehouse built by China Post, one of China's largest couriers, and Youngor, a garment manufacturer in Haishu, boasts more than 50,000 varieties of goods. About ten parcels are sent every minute from the warehouse.

Since its establishment in 2017, shipments for Youngor's online commerce business have rose more than 50 percent annually, increasing from 800 to 5,000 parcels.

As of the end of November, 49 cooperation projects had been launched by express delivery companies and manufacturers, generating 45.16 million yuan ($6.35 million) in annual revenue.

In December, Haishu was listed among 10 national pilot zones for the integrated development of the express delivery and manufacturing industries.

"The cooperation between express delivery companies and manufacturers no longer adheres to a traditional 'point to point' transport model. Instead, they've expanded their services to the production processes," said an official of the Ningbo Municipal Postal Administration.

Factories across the city have also been encouraged to take advantage of such services.

According to the Ningbo Municipal Postal Administration, it has set up express delivery stations at the factories of Aux, Fotile, Deli, Beyond, Romon, and more, helping them cut costs by nearly 20 percent.
