In celebration of the upcoming Year of Dragon, a group of runners from Ningbo, Zhejiang province spent three hours and 35 minutes running along a dragon shaped route on Jan 7.

At 8:40 am, seven runners gathered near the Rihu Park in Jiangbei district and started the 35-kilometer course.

"We want to welcome the Year of Dragon in an interesting way," said Wen Linbo, organizer of the run.

Wen, a mapping engineer, has been designing running routes in the shapes of zodiac animals since 2018. Every year, he organizes a run to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Due to the complex dragon shape, this year's route is the longest running in recent years.

"I'll collect feedback from the participants and use it to design a shorter route that more people can handle," said Wen.
