Dongqian Lake, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, has become a sanctuary for a diverse range of waterfowl species, thanks to the dedicated efforts of local authorities to preserve its pristine natural ecosystem.

Over the past few years, an increasing number of migratory birds have sought refuge within its boundaries. Among these enchanting visitors are mandarin ducks, Chinese mergansers, coots, egrets, herons, shrikes, kingfishers, and wild geese.

These water birds have found solace in the encompassing wetlands, choosing Dongqian Lake as their new sanctuary. With effortless grace, they navigate the lake's tranquil waters, gliding serenely or soaring magnificently through the expansive skies above. The harmonious coexistence of these avian species has given rise to a hidden gem, where the wonders of nature unfold in all their resplendence.
