Zhejiang handles 168 million parcels during Spring Festival holiday

Recent data from the State Post Bureau showed that during the past Spring Festival holiday, 1.08 billion parcels were collected nationwide, with the daily collection volume increasing by 145.2 percent compared to the same period in 2023, while 641 million parcels were delivered, with the daily delivery volume increasing by 82.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

In Zhejiang, from Feb 10 to 17, the postal and express delivery industry collected a total of 168 million parcels, an increase of 17.40 percent compared to the Spring Festival holiday last year, while 43.6 million parcels were delivered, an increase of 23.67 percent.

During the festival period, the postal and express delivery industry in Zhejiang did not experience significant backlog of mail or parcels, nor did it encounter any safety production accidents, with the industry operating safely, steadily, and orderly overall, according to the Zhejiang Provincial Postal Administration.
