Ningbo enterprises shine at East China Fair

Enterprises from Ningbo, Zhejiang province are shining at the 32nd East China Fair, which opened in Shanghai on Mar 1, with a record number of participating companies and a diverse array of industries represented.

For many foreign trade enterprises in Ningbo, the fair is not only the first high-profile economic and trade fair of the Chinese New Year but also a crucial opportunity for companies involved in textiles, clothing, and lighting to test their new products.

This year's fair has an exhibition area of 126,500 square meters and features four exhibitions for apparel and fashion, textile fabrics, household products, and decorative gifts.

This year, the fair saw a record 255 companies from Ningbo participating, with 86 being first-time exhibitors, indicating the city's growing presence in international trade fairs.

Ying Xiuzhen, president of China-Base Ningbo Foreign Trade Co Ltd, was busy at the fair, as the company set up 14 booths this year. Every year, the fair has served as a testing ground for the company's foreign trade workers.

This year, the company plans to establish marketing centers in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa to help small and medium-sized enterprises sell products.
