Ningbo's film and TV industry steals spotlight at Hong Kong expo
Representing Ningbo's burgeoning film and television sector, 18 local cultural enterprises are attending the 28th Hong Kong International Film and TV Market, which kicked off in Hong Kong on March 11.
The expo is one of Asia's foremost platforms for industry networking and global trade in the film and television industry.
This marks the eighth consecutive year that Ningbo's film and television industry has participated in the event. This year's 18 exhibitors from Ningbo include State-owned entities and private enterprises, presenting a diverse array of content, including films, TV dramas, animations, and short films. They also highlight platforms dedicated to film and television technology, animation festivals, overseas distribution, and co-production opportunities.
"In recent years, Ningbo's film and television industry has experienced significant growth across various sectors, establishing a fully-integrated industrial chain," said an official of the Ningbo delegation.
With over 6,000 film and television-related enterprises and four film and television industrial parks, Ningbo has emerged as a hub for production, yielding a wealth of high-quality productions.
The Ningbo exhibition pavilion, which resembles a large ship, has also made a strong impression on visitors.
On the first day of the expo, Ningbo's film and television enterprises secured multiple cooperation projects, encompassing strategic collaborations such as purchasing overseas copyrights, investment sponsorship, overseas distribution of film and television animations, and investment in film and television productions.
