Young village CEO breathes life into Ningbo village
Ding Xinmao has recently taken up the role of village CEO in Jin'e village, Ningbo. At 27 years old, Ding is bringing fresh ideas and newfound energy to the picturesque village.
Jin'e village, located in Fenghua district and renowned for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage, has hosted the Azalea Cultural Tourism Festival for the past seven years. Ding's appointment comes at a crucial time as the village aims to leverage its natural and cultural resources to drive rural development and boost local incomes.
Village CEOs, also known as rural operation managers, play a pivotal role in vitalizing rural areas. Fenghua organized its first Village CEO Recruitment Conference last November, encouraging young talent to contribute to the vitalization of rural economies.
Having worked in the tourism industry, Ding brings valuable experience to his new role in Jin'e Village. He is focused on enhancing village infrastructure, making use of idle resources, and introducing new businesses to attract more visitors and boost tourism.
"I plan to organize four events in the village, with the upcoming Azalea Cultural Tourism Festival being the first. It will be my first major challenge," said Ding.
"With the verdant peaks of Jin'e Mountain and the vibrant wild azaleas, the scenery is truly breathtaking," he added, "Visitors can not only enjoy the flowers but also try local delicacies and coffee as well as participate in various activities."
