Ningbo airport prepares for Badminton Asia Championships

As the Badminton Asia Championships 2024 draw near, the airport in Ningbo, Zhejiang province is gearing up for the influx of participants and officials.

The event is scheduled to held in Ningbo from April 9 to 14, and over 170 participants and officials from more than 10 countries and regions are expected to pass through the Ningbo Lishe International Airport. To prepare for their arrival, Ningbo Airport Customs has designated a dedicated channel specifically for the event, with specialized personnel to guide and assist.

The Ningbo airport has also implemented various measures to ensure efficient and seamless services for all participants, including the installation of signage and banners at both terminals and the establishment of arrival and departure information desks at domestic and international arrival areas.

A team of 15 volunteers has been formed to serve technical officials and athletes throughout their arrival and departure processes.

The Badminton Asia Championships, a top badminton event in Asia, are recognized as a BWF (Badminton World Federation) Super 1000 event where badminton players can earn important points for their world rankings. The tournament will be held in Ningbo and will serve as the final qualifying event for Asian badminton players vying for spots in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
