Authorities in East China's Zhejiang province have recently issued guidelines to enhance institutional openness and strive for a higher level of development in free trade pilot zones. These guidelines will be implemented on April 25.

The document focuses on five key areas: promoting innovative development in goods trade, supporting paperless trading, accelerating openness in digital economy and digital trade, exploring the advancement of cross-border data flows, and optimizing business environment.

It proposes 30 measures to support the accelerated institutional opening-up of the Zhejiang Free Trade Pilot Zone.

The guidelines suggest facilitating entry for accompanying family members of experts from qualified foreign-invested enterprises, enhancing the transparency of government procurement, and strengthening data recognition and talent exchanges with international partners, such as Thailand.
