Ningbo launches 'Tour in Ningbo' event for China Tourism Day

Ningbo, Zhejiang province kicked off the "Tour in Ningbo" week on May 16 as part of its China Tourism Day festivities.

In celebration of China Tourism Day, which falls on May 19, this year's events span six cities - Chaozhou, Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Ningbo, Ordos, and Guiyang - each hosting unique activities focused on dining, accommodation, tours, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.

Ningbo led the celebrations with its "Tour in Ningbo" week. At the launch ceremony held near Dongqian Lake in Yinzhou district, the city introduced 10 recommended scenic spots and travel routes, along with Ningbo's popular cultural tourism projects, offering visitors an updated travel guide.

Additionally, 14 new cultural tourism products have been selected for Ningbo's first batch of highlights, featuring core scenic spots, culinary experiences, performances, and new business models.

On launch day, 519 cyclists rode a 51.9-kilometer route around Dongqian Lake, experiencing the beautiful scenery of Zhejiang's largest natural freshwater lake.

Moreover, numerous benefits will be offered to tourists. On May 19, 157 cultural tourism enterprises in Ningbo will offer discounts and promotions on over 190 products, including discounted tickets, hotel and dining deals, night tours, performances, camping, kayaking, and go-karting.

Attractions such as Qiantong Ancient Town, Lianghuang Mountain, Ninghai Bay, and Dongshan Peach Garden will offer free admission to visitors from anywhere in the nation, while other sites, such as the Dapeng Mountain Resort, Xiangshan Global Studios, and Ningbo Wildlife Park, will provide significant discounts for Ningbo residents.
