In August, Ningbo, Zhejiang province is set to launch two new passenger flight routes to Kuala Lumpur and Sabah in Malaysia, serviced by AirAsia. These additions mark the second and third international routes introduced by the Ningbo airport this year, following the one to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Since December 1 last year, Malaysia has been offering visa-free access to Chinese citizens. This means that upon buying plane tickets, Ningbo travelers can conveniently enter Malaysia using only their passports. These new routes offer a convenient and cost-effective travel option for Ningbo passengers this summer.

The Ningbo-Kuala Lumpur route will debut on August 1, with flights operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight duration is approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes.

Starting August 2, the Ningbo-Sabah route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a flight time of around 4 hours and 10 minutes.

With a focus on affordability, the low-cost operating model ensures competitive ticket prices. By the end of August, the lowest fare for Ningbo-Kuala Lumpur flights will be 428 yuan ($58.99) including taxes for a one-way trip. Conversely, Kuala Lumpur-Ningbo flights will start at 630 yuan including taxes. This means a round trip between Ningbo and Kuala Lumpur will cost just over 1,000 yuan. For Ningbo-Sabah flights, the lowest fare by the end of August is 547 yuan for a one-way trip, with the return trip priced at 416 yuan.

These new flight routes offer exciting travel prospects for Ningbo residents looking to explore Malaysia's diverse destinations.
