In recent days, a global photo exhibition launched by Ningbo, Zhejiang province in Slovenia has attracted a wave of visitors from Central and Eastern European countries.

At the onset of summer vacation, a delegation from Ningbo University ventured to the University of Maribor in Slovenia to partake in the "China-Central and Eastern Europe Digital Silk Road Port and Shipping Practice Month." The event served as a melting pot for universities and businesses from countries like Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania to engage in fruitful exchanges on digitalization research and applications.

During the event, the Ningbo delegation brought to life the picturesque visuals from the initiative that Ningbo launched in May, which involves organizing 100 photography exhibitions at 100 locations around the world.

The exhibition featured a tapestry of exquisite photographs, showcasing Ningbo's natural allure and cultural richness to scholars and entrepreneurs hailing from Central and Eastern European countries.

"Ningbo, a stunning port city with immense appeal, has truly captured my interest. The Tianyi Pavilion, in particular, seems to call to me," said Milica from Serbia, who was visibly impressed by Ningbo's scenic splendor.

Eager to delve deeper into Chinese culture, many Slovenian students adorned themselves in elegant hanfu attire, immersing themselves in the enchanting narratives conveyed through bilingual storytelling alongside the images. They experienced firsthand the allure of the Eastern port city's rich cultural heritage and industrial prowess.

The global impact of the Ningbo Zhoushan Port, coupled with its collaborative efforts with Slovenian counterparts, emerged as something of particular interest among the Slovenian student cohort.

"Your introduction to this breathtaking city is appreciated," said Dana, a student from the University of Maribor, "Many everyday essentials in Slovenia find their way from the bustling Ningbo Zhoushan Port. It's truly remarkable!"

In the days ahead, Dana and her peers are set to embark on a field trip to the Port of Koper in Slovenia, where they will witness firsthand the intricate global trade operations and experience the dynamic synergy driving port development.

The exhibition also showcased Ningbo's vibrant folk customs, offering a captivating glimpse into the local culture for Central and Eastern European visitors.
