Ningbo athletes shine bright at Paris Olympics

Three Chinese athletes from Ningbo, Zhejiang province, namely Wang Chang, Wang Shun, and Kong Yaqi, delivered exceptional performances at the Paris Olympics on Aug 1.

In the men's doubles badminton quarterfinals, Wang Chang and his partner Liang Weikeng triumphed over the Indonesian duo with a 2-0 victory, earning themselves a coveted spot in the semifinals.

On the same day, Wang Shun, a seasoned Olympian competing in his fourth Games, made a stellar debut at the Games. In the men's 200m individual medley swimming preliminary round, Wang posted an impressive time of 1 minute 58.09 seconds, securing the sixth spot overall and progressing to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay preliminary round, the Chinese team, comprising Tang Muhan, Kong Yaqi, Ge Chutong, and Liu Yaxin, clinched the third spot, solidifying their advancement to the finals.
