Ningbo showcases its film industry at 29th FILMART

The 29th Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART) opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on March 17. Ningbo participated for the ninth time and highlighted its thriving film industry with 19 leading companies.

This year's Ningbo delegation of government and private entities introduced an array of offerings, including content production, post-production, filming bases, and AR technology. Featured companies included the Ningbo Film Group, Xiangshan Film City, and Boddi (Ningbo) Modern Film Base.

Ningbo's exhibition showed its commitment to innovation and tradition. The design of the booth, combining bold orange and classic black, symbolized the evolution of cinema while promoting openness and global collaboration.

Ningbo's achievements have drawn international attention, with many visitors expressing interest in distribution partnerships. Highlights included premieres of films such as The Shore of Life and Breaking the Game, alongside the 2025 30° Ningbo Short Film Week competition, which invited young filmmakers worldwide.

FILMART served as a valuable platform for Ningbo to connect with global partners, fostering collaborations in content creation, technology, and talent development. As the event continues through March 20, Ningbo's coastal charm and creative vision mark a fresh chapter in its journey onto the world stage.
