A Boeing 747-400F cargo jet lifted off from Ningbo Lishe International Airport on March 31, marking the launch of a new all-cargo route to Miami. This is Zhejiang province's first newly established international freight route of 2025.
Operated by United States-based Kalitta Air, the Miami route will run one to two flights per week, directly connecting China's Yangtze River Delta region with the southeastern US logistics hub. The new line is expected to strengthen freight ties between the two regions, supporting increased trade and faster cargo movement.
On March 29, Ningbo resumed its cargo service to Liege, Belgium. Together, the two lines form a dual-corridor logistics pathway linking Zhejiang with major markets across the Pacific and Atlantic.
The Miami-bound flights will streamline the delivery of outbound goods such as e-commerce parcels, auto parts, and electromechanical products. Return flights are expected to carry fresh produce and overseas consumer goods into China.
The Liege service, flying three times a week, takes advantage of Liege Airport's central location in Europe. From there, shipments can be rapidly distributed across Germany, France, and northern Europe.
To support exporters, Ningbo Customs has also introduced return-policy protections for cross-border e-commerce parcels, easing the flow of goods in both directions.
