The "Central and Eastern European Countries' Innovation in China" series held its first event in Ningbo from June 4 to 5, spotlighting Serbian technological advancements.
Innovations such as BioRC's SILICOFCM cloud platform, Belgrade's BIO4 campus initiative, and new herbal products from HerbElixa demonstrated Serbia's growing role in scientific and industrial innovation.
As a strategic hub in the Yangtze River Delta and a key city involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, Ningbo is actively fostering cross-border collaboration through research, industrial partnerships, and technology exchange.
"This event helps Serbian businesses better understand China's market, policies, and industrial opportunities while facilitating efficient connections between Chinese enterprises and Central and Eastern European innovations," said Chen Shanfeng, deputy director of Ningbo's science and technology bureau.
At the event, five Serbian companies introduced their products and business models in a lively roadshow, engaging with Ningbo's universities and enterprises.
Chinese representatives also joined a training session on expanding into Central and Eastern Europe, where they discussed with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce how Chinese companies can enter these markets and invest in Serbia.
This initiative marks the beginning of a broader effort to enhance scientific and technological cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe, positioning Ningbo as a vital bridge for global innovation.
