Ningbo impresses ISSF official ahead of world cup

Ningbo, Zhejiang province, recently earned praise from a technical delegate of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), as it gears up to host the 2025 ISSF World Cup this September.

On July 10, the 2025 National Shooting Championships (Rifle Events) opened at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center. The championship also serves as the final qualification event for the 15th National Games, and as a test run for the upcoming ISSF Shooting World Cup.

During a site visit, ISSF technical representative Abdulla Al Hammadi commended the venue's preparedness for hosting international-level competitions. He highlighted the impressive quality of the 10m, 25m, and 50m shooting ranges, as well as the dedicated finals hall, adding that Ningbo clearly has strong experience in organizing major sporting events.

While watching the men's 50m rifle three positions elimination round, Hammadi noted the outstanding performance of Chinese athletes at the Paris Olympics and said he looked forward to an exciting competition in Ningbo.
