MSC launches operations in Ningbo

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has opened its first ship management company in China, choosing Ningbo, Zhejiang province, as its strategic hub.

On July 23, MSC Crewing Services (China) Co Ltd launched operations in Beilun district. As one of the world's leading container shipping companies, MSC's decision highlights Ningbo's growing significance in global maritime logistics.

In an exclusive interview with Ningbo Daily, Prabhat Jha, CEO of MSC Shipmanagement, explained that the decision to set up operations in Ningbo was closely tied to the scale, efficiency, and strategic location of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.

The port, which consistently ranks among the world's busiest, provides MSC with enhanced access to international routes and reliable maritime services. With this launch, MSC aims to deepen its footprint in China and further integrate into the region's booming shipping and logistics network.
