Ningbo shows humanoid robotics power at World Robot Conference 2025

At the 2025 World Robot Conference in Beijing, over 200 international companies gathered to explore the future of robotics.

Among them, 10 Ningbo-based companies unveiled advanced humanoid robots, highlighting the city's growing influence in China's embodied intelligence sector.

A standout was the Navigator 2, developed by the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center.

Standing 1.65 meters tall and weighing 60 kilograms, it features AI computing power of 275 trillion operations per second, precision arms with 7 degrees of freedom and the ability to walk steadily on various surfaces.

Already deployed in smart retail and manufacturing sectors, Navigator 2 performs tasks like sorting goods and applying coatings — just like a human worker.

This year, the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center opened a factory in Haishu district and plans to produce hundreds of humanoid robots. It is also partnering with local suppliers to strengthen the city's industrial chain.

Ningbo has issued a 2025–27 action plan for its humanoid robot industry, aiming to boost all links from production to talent. The focus is on applications in smart manufacturing, tourism and education, daily services, healthcare and city management.

Several Ningbo companies have already taken the lead. In July, the Ningbo Embodied Intelligence Industrial Base opened in Xiangshan. Led by Ningbo Huaxiang Group, it will train AI models, collect data and develop applications in manufacturing, tourism and energy inspections.
