Nighttime hit in E China's Zhejiang: Cicheng shines with culture and charm

On recent summer nights, enchantingly bright lights illuminate Cicheng town in Jiangbei district of Ningbo city, East China's Zhejiang province, where a thousand-year-old cultural heritage is being revived with modern charm. "Midsummer Night at Cihu Lake", an event that launched this summer, has been growing in popularity, attracting numerous residents and tourists to stroll around the night fair and take part in river sports.

Recently, by combining recreation, culture and sports, and tourism, the town has created a brand-new calling card, "A Smash Hit at Night". On its busiest night, it welcomed nearly 40,000 tourists, making it a new summer landmark for nighttime cultural and tourism consumption in Ningbo.
