Ningbo to launch talent, technology week

The 2025 China Zhejiang — Ningbo Talent Technology Week will begin on Sept 20, marking its 20th anniversary with a renewed focus on innovation and integration.

This year, the event highlights reforms in education, science, and the talent system while promoting the integration of technological and industrial advancement, especially through AI empowerment.

The event features 30 key activities, including an opening ceremony. It will connect enterprises, universities, research institutes, and digital platforms to build a dynamic ecosystem for attracting and nurturing talent.

Ningbo aims to attract global talent through initiatives like the high-level talent introduction seminar and the overseas talent Ningbo tour, targeting young graduates and international experts. Regionally tailored events — including innovation competitions and industry-talent matchmaking — will align talent with local development needs.

The week also emphasizes the transformation of scientific achievements and academic-industry collaboration. Key events such as the high-tech fair, AI innovation training camp, and university service industry development conference will be held, aiming to integrate innovation, industry, capital, and talent chains to drive Ningbo's new productive forces.

Public engagement is a major focus, with open days at top universities and institutions, city walks, and youth tech exchanges. These activities aim to strengthen emotional ties with the city.
