Ningbo companies lead AI innovation at digital trade expo

Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping everyday life, and enterprises in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, are leading the way in applying intelligent technologies across industry and commerce.

Humanoid robots take center stage at the fourth Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou, with the NAVIAI robot from Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center performing as an orchestral conductor, moving its arms in sync with the music.

"We partnered with Zhejiang Conservatory of Music to capture a conductor's motion and replicate it in real time," said Mr Chen, the company's manager. "Deployment takes just 10 minutes, and the robot is already ready for industrial and retail applications."

At the exhibition booth of China Hiin City's Keep Running Park, a humanoid robot welcomes visitors, sells popcorn, and interacts with playful gestures. Meanwhile, GravityXR showcases the world's first expressive face technology, with robots displaying smiles and blinking in response to human interaction.

AI is also extending beyond robotics, with Ningbo Anglin Intelligent Equipment Co demonstrating solar-powered, AI-driven traffic cones capable of autonomously managing road safety in seconds.

Jiang Ke, CEO of Zhejiang Mujian Network Technology Co, highlighted AI's role in optimizing e-commerce imagery and transforming 2D medical scans into 3D models for surgical planning. "We help designers escape repetitive tasks and assist doctors in planning procedures more efficiently," he explained.

In education, Zhijia Information Technology Co integrates AI into paperless learning, allowing students to complete assignments on ink-screen tablets while teachers grade digitally.

From healthcare and mobility to education and daily life, Ningbo companies are demonstrating how AI and digital trade technologies are shaping a future where technology serves people and enhances everyday experiences.
