Ningbo enterprises showcase strength at 138th Canton Fair

The 138th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is being held in Guangzhou from Oct 15 to Nov 4. Ningbo has made a strong showing, with over 4,300 booths and more than 1,600 companies participating across all three phases. Attendee numbers from the city are expected to surpass 20,000.

Ningbo Safewell Smart Security Products is presenting smart home products featuring WiFi and facial recognition. "We're targeting countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative with diverse needs and offering full-range solutions from $2 to $20,000," said Zhang Hongya, the company’s general manager. The company's booth this time emphasizes real-life scenarios to help buyers visualize product applications.

For Ningbo Xinle Holding Group, emerging markets are familiar territory. "We've focused on washing machines for Latin America and Southeast Asia since the 1980s," said Li Heng, senior manager of the company. The company's latest model includes a self-cleaning drum to meet health-conscious demand. Meetings with clients from Panama, Colombia, and Indonesia are already scheduled.

Ningbo Huabao Group is showcasing cleaning appliances, aiming at traditional European, American and Latin American markets. Despite tariff-related setbacks, Liu Yuwei, the company's vice-president, remains optimistic. "The world is vast — there's always a suitable customer and channel."
