Puzhi Future Robotics in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, has unveiled its latest humanoid robot, expanding the frontier of intelligent manufacturing.
Puzhi gave the public a first look at G2, its newest humanoid robot, on Oct 16. Alongside the launch, the company inaugurated a production line capable of 3,000 units annually, underlining the growing scale of humanoid robotics in industry and services.
The G2 is designed to handle complex, real-world tasks with precision and flexibility. Its body features 50 independently controlled joints and a flexible waist structure, allowing human-like mobility in tight or cluttered spaces. Each arm can lift up to 5 kilograms with sub-millimeter accuracy, enabling delicate operations such as assembly, sorting, and material handling.
Built for continuous operation, G2 can work around the clock, making it suitable for manufacturing lines, logistics hubs, research labs, and security environments. In demonstrations, it performed tasks from folding clothes and picking objects to climbing slopes and manipulating safety buckles, showcasing both dexterity and adaptability.
"G2 is more than a machine. It's an intelligent worker that can perceive its surroundings, interact with people, and make autonomous decisions," said Zhou Xingyou, vice-president of Joyson Group and chairman of Puzhi.
Zhou added that, with production capacity tripling from 1,000 to 3,000 units, the G2 reflects strong market demand and growing confidence in embodied intelligence as a cornerstone of future manufacturing.
