Ningbo is turning into a golden wonderland as ginkgo trees across the city put on a dazzling display. Streets, parks, and villages are bathed in warm yellow, creating picture-perfect scenes that blend natural beauty with cultural charm.
In Haishu district, Moon Lake Park offers stretches of ginkgo trees whose golden leaves frame serene waters and historic courtyards, painting a quintessential Jiangnan landscape.
At Qita Temple in Yinzhou district, ginkgo leaves flutter gently to the ground, forming a vivid carpet of gold beneath ancient pagodas. Tiantong Temple sees its trees reach their peak beauty from late November to early December, where red walls and gray tiles glow through cascading golden foliage.
In Fenghua district, two ancient ginkgo trees at Xuedou Temple, affectionately called the "ginkgo couple", are over 1,000 years old and draw visitors to witness their timeless beauty.
Further afield, villages like Beixi in Yuyao city and Wuxing in Xiangshan county have transformed into immersive golden landscapes, with centuries-old ginkgo trees standing alongside younger ones to create enchanting avenues of color. In Ninghai county's Feikeng village and at Cixi city's convention center, ginkgo-lined paths invite visitors to enjoy peaceful walks amid radiant leaves.
From city parks to historic villages, Ningbo's ginkgo trees offer a unique blend of history, nature, and visual delight, making the city a must-see destination for lovers of golden scenery.
