Larnaca, located on the southeastern coast of Cyprus, is a dynamic port city. As the country's third-largest urban center, it hosts Cyprus's busiest international airport and its second-largest seaport, making it a vital hub for transportation, industry, and tourism.

With nearly 6,000 years of civilization and 4,000 years of urban history, Larnaca stands among the world's ancient cultural crossroads, with its advantageous coastal position and rich natural resources drawing the interest of many powers throughout history. Today, archaeological sites and historic monuments remain integral to its urban landscape.

Modern Larnaca continues to thrive as an economic and logistical center. Larnaca International Airport links Europe and the Middle East, while its port supports cargo, cruises, and yachting.

Tourism is a pillar of the local economy, with numerous travel companies and related enterprises headquartered in the city. In recent years, Larnaca has also undergone an economic transformation to support sustainable, long-term growth.

Ningbo and Larnaca began exchanges in 2021 and signed an online agreement on March 22, 2022, to establish friendly exchange relations, marking a new chapter in cooperation.
