A helping hand sparks mutual connection

In Ningbo's Hongdu community, small acts of kindness have grown into a lasting bond between a local neighborhood and the Ahangarzadeh family.
It started when Cavon Ahangarzadeh, head of Georgia School Ningbo, faced a worrying moment: his father, visiting from the United States, got lost while walking in the neighborhood. Zou Ran, a local social worker, quickly stepped in, guiding him back and contacting Ahangarzadeh to ensure a safe reunion at the apartment entrance. The family was deeply impressed by Zou's prompt help and warm manner, which made them feel welcomed and secure in a new environment.
This experience left a lasting impression. Later, when the community launched a One-Day Charity Donation campaign, Ahangarzadeh contributed 800 yuan ($114). In gratitude, the community presented the family with a bamboo wind chime handcrafted by local children, a gift that showcased Ningbo's intangible cultural heritage.
The family also proposed setting up a free English corner at the community center to help neighbors practice their English.
Over time, the Ahangarzadeh family has become part of the local community, sharing in its everyday moments and quiet connections.
